INTERNET WHIZ MAKES 12.5 MILLION POUNDS

A 34 year old man has made 12.5 million pounds after selling his internet business to Kingston Communications of Hull. Mark Lang founded the business which he christened Eclipse Networking less than ten years ago using his 20,000 pounds life savings to get the project off the ground.

Based in Exeter, he was only 25 when he began and was so worried that he would not be taken seriously he grew a beard to make himself look older. The business grew to employing over 60 people, most of whom are still in their twenties. He retained all the shares in his business and was best known for providing broadband services.

Mister Lang has taken up the post of director of broadband at Kingston Communications whose number of subscribers will jump from 20,000 to 55,000 following the takeover.    01/10/04
